The week before Christmas, I learned my boss was going to be out of town for the entire following week. So what did we do? We went on a spontaneous family trip to Washington DC of course! And we did it on the cheap.
As much as I love depressing myself by reading how much Pat Flynn makes every month, what I really want to know is how much normal people make (and spend).
People are always trying to gauge what they should be spending on groceries, restaurants, housing, clothes, etc. It’s even more difficult to figure when you account for geography and family size. What if you have 2 kids? What if you live in Los Angeles? What if you’re a single income family?
That’s when I had the idea to create a means by which people could bare their budgets—to post their income, spending, and net worth for others to see.

Did you know if you make below $60,000, you can file your federal taxes for free? The IRS provides links to several tax software providers, some of which offer free state returns as well. But then you might be left wondering if you missed something.
I see this happen all the time when I review self-prepared returns. If you have any doubt that you are not fully minimizing your tax liability, it might be worth paying to have someone look it over.
